Holidays!

We travelled to lanzarote last Saturday. The journey went well and was remarkably calm compared to what we were expecting! 

We eventually arrived at our hotel and spent the first day eating and splashing around in the pool. Della found a couple of friends and for the first time in a long time I wasn't planning the exactly what was going to happen when (as does happen so often with children) and it was just lovely!! 

There will be many more posts on our trip I'm sure!

Another Newby Hall day

We go on holiday tomorrow so want to get as many posts in as possible before tgey are too dated. Here is one from a few weeks ago! 

We went to Newby Hall again a few weeks ago with the family of Della's friend Abbie. I think the highlight for Della was running around in a swimming costume in the play fountains! 

A trip down south

Before birthday madness we took a trip to cambridge. 

One of the highlights (apart from della and Gus sharing a bedroom for the first time) was a trip to the Botanical Gardens. It was stunning... 

Della has a habit of just standing beside and staring at randome groups of people. Across the pond here she managed to get in the middle of a family photo!
