Note lambsy hiding in one of the bags. The most stressful moment of the whole holiday was when Della had to give Lambsy to the security guard at Manchester so she could put him through the scanner...

A very brief bit of downtime, catching up on some reading
Sleepy Della refusing to fall asleep in her pram, despite it being way past her bedtime.
Shortly after she did drop off, and we sat in a cafe having dinner and looking out over the harbour. And then we heard an explosion which could have been a volcano errupting, but turned out to be a loud firework....

Della discovered ice-creams on this holiday. Turns out that she loves them (no surprise). We shared them with her - she became very exact over who's turn it was to have some, and how long they could have.
She also made some sandcastles on the very pretty beach with Mammy
