Beach day

On our first morning waking in the van me and Gus got up early (he woke up early and I tried to let everyone else sleep a little longer!). He watched the rain and seagulls for quite a while! 

Then after breakfast and copious amounts of tea and coffee (and after the rain had stopped) we started the challenge of helping della learn to ride her bike - more on this another time. 

The beach is only a couple of minutes walk from our van so we packed up a picnic and head there for some fun. The tide was a long way out so perfect for rock pooling. And once the sun was out it was just beautiful 

Gus ate a considerable amount of sand

Then daddy and Gus headed back for a nap while me and della played some more and went for a walk

We spotted some bunnies on our walk back 

And a tortoise
