A little bit of laughing

Gus is a giggly boy. He is used to so little attention that when he gets any he finds it hilarious... (only watch the first one until after the first song - he does nothing after that!)

Here he has a little chuckle to himself while falling asleep

Preschool

Today Simon had to get up very early to film at the National Railway Museum - apparently a very important train (something to do with Churchill) is travelling very slowly into the main hall. I think it is a steam one. The BBC, ITV and Sky news are going to be there so it must be very very important. The last film Simon made for them got 80,000 hits online do getting up very early is worth it...

That meant that me Della and Gus were left to get ourselves sorted and off to prescchool. Amazingly this is the first time (except for when we've been in Durham) that this has happened. Della was very good and helped get Gus ready then did lots of playing by herself.

Then we went to Preschool. Our walk was delayed by chatting to people on the street. We were talking about school places (a controversial thing here in York). Della overheard the conversations and got quite excited. She REALLY wants to go to school and although this will happen in September she thinks it will happen sooner.

Here is Della's peg at preschool. D for Della and dolphin

We had to pop Gus on the floor while we took off coats and boots. He fell asleep.

Temple Newsham

On Sunday we went to Temple Newsham  - a house, garden and farm close to Leeds. We had fun...

It was muddy

We went to the park

Gus waking up and playing...

I (Simon) took a day off yesterday to spend with Angela and Gus, while Della was at nursery. It was very nice to have some time with Gus without the distraction of Della constantly asking for things. I also got the chance to get few videos of Gus waking up in his super-hero pose, and the playing in his cot...

Another weekend, another birthday party

Today we went to a circus themed third birthday party. It was for our friend Henry ( son of Emily, brother of Asta). The children see each other a lot and we went camping with them last year. However since Gus was born we haven't seen them much so this was especially exciting. Della got all dressed up

There was a very good entertainer at the party called mr Dan

He knew circus tricks, rode a unicycle, juggled, walked on a giant ball, twisted balloons and played very good games

Della won a dancing completion

And played with spinning plates

And stilts

And ate, lots!

Gus had food too

And got dressed up

Then everyone fell asleep!

Welcome cousin Ellis

Della and Gus have a new cousin. My brother Steven and Carole had their baby last week, so we took to the road to meet the little man.

Della also got to play with Ethan and see grandma and grandad, which is always fun.

Introducing Ellis - who came out looking ready for the world!!

Della and Ethan had fun pestering Gus

Gus watched Della in the bath

He also met snow for the first time!

Della made a tree house with princess castle extension
